Website User Guide: Manager Setup & Guest Experience

Welcome to the ultimate interactive venue matchmaking and banter platform! All updates across the system happen instantly in real-time. Follow this guide to set up your venue and engage your guests.

1. Account Setup & Onboarding

• Sign Up: Restaurant managers must first sign up for a premium platform subscription.
• Venue Creation: Upon onboarding, input your official Venue Name to establish your digital space.

📋 The Manager Dashboard

Your dashboard is divided into two main sections to help you control the action.

Matches Tab

Manage live games, update scores, and control guest interaction.

• Load Schedule: Click to load upcoming matches. Up to 4 schedules featuring different teams will populate.
• Live Game Controls: Manually update active teams, increase goal counts in real-time, and decide the final match results.
• Voting Control: Freeze voting once a game has started, or unfreeze/lock specific matches to manage when guests can participate.
• Moderation: Instantly clear the Banter Box feed to keep the conversation friendly.

Tools Tab

Access the assets needed to connect your physical space to the digital platform, manage safety, and customize your look.

• Unique QR Code: Download and print your venue's unique QR code to place on dining tables or bar counters.
• QR Link: Copy the direct URL version of your venue's QR code.
• TV Display Link: Launch the Banter Box TV Display link. Click "Open TV Display" at the top of your screen and project this page onto your venue's big screens.
• Theme Selection: Customize the visual style of your big screen by selecting different themes for the TV display.
• User Ban Controls: Maintain a safe environment by instantly banning any guest handle that violates your venue's chat guidelines.

🔄 The Game Day Workflow

Manager Process

• Navigate to the Matches tab and click Load Schedule.
• Go to the Tools tab to choose a visual theme that fits your venue's vibe today.
• Launch the TV Display and project it onto your venue's big screens. Or copy the link and paste in any browser on laptop and connect laptop to your tv.
• As the games begin, manually update the active teams, add goals as they happen, and manage voting access (freeze/unfreeze).
• Monitor the banter stream: use the "Clear Banter" option or pull up Tools to ban disruptive users if needed.
• When a match concludes, select the winning team. The platform will instantly award 1 point to every guest who predicted the outcome correctly.

Guest Experience

• Scan & Connect: Guests arrive at your venue and scan the tabletop QR code with their smartphone.
• Quick Onboarding: Guests instantly sign up via Google, Apple, or Email, then input their custom Handle Name and Table Number.
• Predict the Game: Guests view today's schedule (selected by the manager) and vote on live matches. Their votes update the TV display instantly.
• Join the Banter: Guests can type custom messages or use pre-made, quick-tap templates to send friendly banter directly to the big screen in real-time.
• Win Points: Once the manager crowns the winner, right-guessers instantly see their 1-point reward.

💡 Pro-Tips for Managers

• Keep the energy high! Make sure to update goals the second they happen to keep the TV display accurate.
• Use the Lock/Freeze features strategically to prevent guests from changing their votes after a game kicks off or before a match is officially open.
• Keep an eye on the feed—having the Tools tab open on a secondary device makes it incredibly easy to switch themes on the fly or drop the hammer on rowdy users without disrupting the match flow.
